Meet Dr. Philip Croutch
An interest in helping and teaching people to heal naturally prompted Dr. Croutch to become a chiropractor instead of a medical doctor. “I was fascinated with the complex natural healing system that we have built into us. I felt that we didn’t need more surgeons and medical doctors who work primarily with drugs and surgery. We need people who would specialize in teaching people how to be well as naturally as possible.”
A Chiropractic Education
To obtain his Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Croutch attended the world-renowned Canadian Memorial College of Chiropractic. While in school, he discovered the ways in which chiropractic care could help the spine heal and influence health.
“I wasn’t aware of how versatile the nervous system was in its ability to direct healing until chiropractic college. I had only a little knowledge of chiropractic as a modality for therapy prior to going to college. My eyes were opened — through a variety of courses and the professors — as to how remarkable it was if you could just figure out how to make the connections in the body work right.”
To better serve his patients, Dr. Croutch has taken a significant amount of continuing education in chiropractic. Within three years of being a chiropractor, he also got certified in acupuncture and later, in basic corrective care approaches for retraining the spine.
